JVC's KW-V10 DVD receiver combines an easy-to-read, variable-color display with a DVD player, a USB input, and dual audio/video inputs. The 6.1" touchscreen display enables you to control all audio, video, and source functions, often with just a swipe of the finger. Add in some backseat screens and a few DVDs, and you've got a complete entertainment hub for short or long journeys.
JVC lets you enjoy your favorite Pandora stations on the road. Just plug in your iPhone® and you'll have touchscreen control right in your dash, with artist and song info on the big display. And you'll enjoy the rest of your digital music too — plug your iPod® or iPhone into the USB input, and you can tap your way through all your tunes and playlists on this JVC's responsive touchscreen. If you're not an iPod user, you can load up a USB drive or a recordable disc with music files — it's easy to fit hundreds of tracks on either one, and you can still dive in using the touchscreen.
The AM/FM tuner includes the Radio Data System (RDS), so you get station info on the display. If you're tired of losing local stations as they fade into the distance, you can add the SiriusXM tuner and enjoy your favorite music and entertainment from coast to coast on satellite radio.
Use the front or rear audio/video inputs to hook up your favorite portable audio player, a camcorder, or another video source. This receiver boasts an audio/video output to send movies to a rear video screen, so your passengers will stay happy during the longest road trips. If you've got a big vehicle, you'll appreciate the input for a rear-view camera — helpful for when you're maneuvering your vehicle in tight spaces.
Got an iPhone 4 or 4S? Using JVC's App Link Mode, you'll get basic control over audio apps like Tunein Radio, including functions like play/pause or track up/down, and you can also view traffic info from Inrix, Cobra iRadar, and other driving apps. For powerful navigation, download the MotionX-GPS Drive app (subscription required) and you'll be able to see maps and live traffic reports on the receiver's screen. You'll still need to access your iPhone with this app, so consider adding an iPhone mount for easy use.
In most vehicles, you can use an adapter (not included) to connect your vehicle's steering wheel controls to this JVC stereo. Connect a few wires, then program the adapter for your particular car and the JVC, and you'll retain the convenience of your steering wheel controls.
